Getting Started
---------------
You can check out our very helpful Getting Started Guide
[ http://www.noip.com/support/knowledgebase/getting-started-with-no-ip-com/ if
you haven't
already. Also, if you have not
downloaded our Dynamic Update Client, head here now to download it
[ http://www.noip.com/downloads.php ]. This client keeps track of your
changing IP address
and is necessary for the No-IP service and dynamic DNS to work properly. If
you have a static IP address, then the client is not necessary.

To Setup Dynamic DNS:

1. Login to your No-IP account.

2. Add a hostname to your account (ie. yourname.no-ip.org)

3. Install the dynamic update client (DUC). Once installed, configure it to
update the host added in step 2.

4. If using a router or firewall be sure to open and forward the proper ports
for the services you wish to run. (ie. port 80 for a webserver)

Quick Tip: Many ISPS block port 80 (http) and 25 (smtp). You'll need No-IP
Enhanced to get around blocked port 80 and No-IP Reflector to get around Port
25

No-IP up and running.

check tool [ http://www.portchecktool.com ] will help test port forwarding or
if
your ISP is blocking certain
